Solid Cooling, Messy Ice & Drawer Issues

I am a penultimate comparison shopper and I research major purchases in exhaustive fashion before making my decision. The fact that I needed a counter-depth unit limited the selections, and after all of my fact-finding I found this to be the best unit available at a price I was willing to pay. That being said, I think they could have done better.The refrigerator looks sharp in stainless steel and fits nicely without sticking out past the cabinets. It keeps food evenly cooled and the ice maker is reliable. The finish resists fingerprints and gives the kitchen a modern, professional look.However, there are several quirks that hold it back. The water dispenser only provides filtered tap-temperature water, not chilled. The water filter system requires OEM replacements to reset the ™change water filter™ indicator, which adds cost and limits flexibility.The ice dispenser also has a penchant for scattering ice ™" especially crushed ice ™" if your glass opening is smaller than about 3.5 inches. This creates a kitchen safety issue and should be addressed by Frigidaire with a recall repair to reduce the size of the dispenser opening.The control buttons are tucked inside the freezer door and can be bumped when loading items, which is frustrating in daily use. On the refrigerator side, once the drawers are moderately full, they do not slide easily, which adds another layer of everyday frustration. The freezer space itself is on the narrow side, which makes bulk storage more difficult.Overall, it™™s a stylish fridge with solid cooling performance, but the usability issues ™" from the water and ice systems to the drawers and controls ™" make it more of a 3-star experience than a 5-star one.

This appliance is functional. I like the ice maker and filtered water. What I did not like is frozen chicken wings fell down and the bottom drawer cracked. I have only had the appliance since 10/14. It happened 11/26. That should not have caused the bottom drawer to crack.

This is my second fridge of the same model. The interior redesign is much improved. The only issue is that one of the doors hangs a little shorter than the other but otherwise I™™m pleased with the purchase.

the refrigerator did not keep the items cold on the fridge side from the day it was delivered and it was first set up. freezer compartment worked fine. called for repair and tech was very informative, found the damper that adjusts to keep fridge compartment temp setpoint was malfunctioning go figure and the guys who set it up did not remove the inline water filter like I ask for the new unit has a water filter

Bought this from BrandSmart to replace a 25-year-old fridge that still worked but was showing signs of end of life. Set up was easy. Just one intake line for water/ice. I set the coldness setting for both fridge and freezer to ™Recommended™.After about 3 days of it being in the house, the refrigerator side of the machine froze everything as if it were in the freezer. Water, eggs, pickles, half and half, meat, etc. All frozen in the refrigerator. Also, the water filter froze - causing the water dispenser in the door not to work. In response, I turned the coldness setting to the ™warmest™ setting. I believe it is called ™Cold™. The refrigerator thawed out over the next few days, and the water dispenser worked again. It froze and thawed once more over the next week.Because it is brand new, I submitted a work order through the Frigidaire support site after the second freezing incident. The online appointment setting went very smoothly. The night before the appointment date, I debated canceling because the fridge had been acting normal. I™™m glad I did not cancel, because that morning the fridge was frozen again. No water out of the dispenser, etc. That afternoon, the technician came exactly on time - with plenty of warning about time of arrival, etc. Very nice gentleman. He observed my frozen water dispenser, half-and-half, and frozen foods in the fridge. He then took temperature readings, and did some computer diagnostics on the machine. The technician was hesitant to replace parts on the fridge because of how new it is, and because he stated he had never seen this happen before. Technician advised not to put liquids on the top shelf of the fridge. Before leaving, the technician decided that he was going to put in a work order to replace parts on the fridge. If I remember correctly, I believe it is the computer board and something else that controls temperature. I received the email from Fed-Ex that the parts will be delivered this week. My appointment to replace the parts on the fridge is on 11/24/25. Will update this review after the appointment.

Refrigerator was dead on arrival, one week for service tech who said it was a bad control board. Multiple calls to support receiving different answers, passed off and disconnected to start over again. 3 weeks later the new board came in and I had a nice refrigerator. One month goes by and the fan starts making noises like it has spun a bearing, loud, grinding sounds as it comes to a stop when the door opens. Back on the phone to support and waited another week+ for a tech to come out and tell me it is normal. If that is the case, this product is truly not worth the savings vs a higher quality refrigerator. If your kitchen is isolated from your living space, or you want a garage fridge, this can be a viable option. Otherwise, pass.

This fridge is great. Favorite features are crushed ice option and the counter-depth feature. It gave us just a little more room and it and it makes all the difference in our kitchen.

We bought our new refrigerator at Home Depot. We absolutely love it!! One thing of note is when you open the refrigerator door the light comes up gradually, I didn™™t even know I needed that! We have had it a week now and Very happy with it!!

I like the modern and slick style of this fridge, I like the compartments it has to store different things, in my case I would love bigger space for fridge than the freezer. As I don™™t consume that many frozen things, but over all is very nice, very convinient to have water and ice dispenser.

Really enjoying our Frigidaire. It has very good interior space for a counter depth refrigerator. Nice small ice cubes. Our installer did an incompetent job with one door hanging lower than the other, but I™™m hopeful that I™™ll figure out how to adjust that on my own.

I bought this refrigerator in June to replace my dead Samsung. The shelves have a very odd configuration and it's hard to use the two lowest ones because there's not enough room. The lights don't show up very well in the middle so it's dark. The ice maker is extremely noisy and loud. The compressor is extremely loud. But the worst of it is after only 4 months. The front of my refrigerator is rusting. Stainless steel doesn't rust so I don't know what they're making it from but it's cheap junk. Don't buy this refrigerator

I am very satisfied with this fridge. My prior one was a fridgdair Gallery lasted well over 15 years! This one has the same minimal clearance for door opening and appears to have more room although it is the same cubic area.

This model is compact, and there is not alot of space on the shelves. Also, it doesnt cool evenly. Items on the top of fridge and freezer seem to freeze, while those on the bottom shelves are warmer.

Delivery was quick and the refrigerator arrived in excellent condition. Installers were professional and had it working in less than an hour. They answered questions and left the area clean. The refrigerator is as described and fit perfectly in the cabinet space. Preparation tips provided by email were very helpful. This was a very good transaction and experience; better than expected for an online transaction.

Purchased 8/16/2025, stop working (high temp) 9/14/25 Too late for LOWSEs return policy. Called for repair had to wait for part replacement, then approval for part, then for tech to be scheduled.Tech replaced part, immediately left, high temp light back on not working today is 10/2/25. Caled Electrox several times until got a provider who can come 10/3/25. Have lost a lotn of money on food, discarded food and buying food daily. I am disabled and have to have refrig food delivered daily. As of today no solution

I had to search high & low to find a fridge that would fit my space and this one fit perfectly!! It's a bit compact but it gets the job done. I always have ice and i don't think it's loud. Only downside is that my kids fingerprints are all over the outside but nohing some elbow grease can't fix.
